How We Grade Our Parts

Every part on this site is used. Rather than leave you guessing what “used condition” means, we grade everything on the same four-point scale and photograph exactly what you will receive — including the marks.

Grade	What it means
A – As new	Taken from a low-mileage vehicle. No visible wear. Often indistinguishable from a new part.
B – Good used	Normal wear for its age and mileage. Fully functional. Nothing that affects fit or use. This is most of our stock.
C – Usable	Visible cosmetic marks, scuffs or minor damage, all photographed and described. Works correctly. Priced accordingly.
D – Spares or repair	Sold as seen with faults described. Not warranted. For rebuilders and parts donors.

What you can rely on

The photographs are of the actual part you will receive. Not a stock image, not a similar one.
We photograph the flaws deliberately. If there is a scuff, a chip or a broken tab, it is in the pictures and it is in the description. We would rather you knew.
We tell you where it came from. Most listings carry the donor vehicle’s year, registration and mileage, because we removed the part ourselves.

Warranty by grade

Grades A, B and C carry our standard warranty — 90 days on engines, gearboxes, differentials and turbochargers, 30 days on everything else. Grade D parts are sold as seen.

How We Grade Our Parts
